• Suns' Java Developer's Kit 1.1 Here it is - the most recent version of Sun's JDK. This is all you need to start writing your own applets. Use the rest of the links on this page to figure out what you are doing.
• The Java Developer's Corner This site is also hosted by Sun and has links to some great Java resources.
• JavaScript Authoring Guide This site starts with the basics of JavaScript and moves on. If you are already familiar with JavaScript but have some questions, this site has an alphabetical reference of JavaScript commands and functions that can be accessed by selecting "Show Reference" button in the bottom frame.
• Writing Java Programs This is an excellent place to start if you are interested in Java. You can follow the trail of your choice to learn what you want to learn about Java programming (applets and applications) at your own pace.
• Shlurrrpp......Java: The first user-friendly tutorial on Java Another good starting point if you are interested in developing in Java. And as the title suggests, it is fairly user-friendly.
• JavaWorld An online magazine that will keep you up-to-date on the latest in Java. They offer tutorials, tips and tricks,news, how-to's, and more.
• The Java Repository An extensive list of Java resources. This site has excellent search capabilities so you can locate exactly what you are looking for with very little trouble.
• Gamelan This is a great resource site. Take a look at the featured applet and take a look at the source code to learn how it's done.
