The documents in this file present a pragmatic discussion discussion of marketing on the web. The focus may be either on both applied and theoretical development of the marketing plan, evaluating the target market, developing the proper message, design considerations, or promoting the site.
- Marketing and Advertising on the Net. Vanderbilt University. A comprehensive site that provides Internet statistics, marketing information about the internet, marketing resources, journal articles and other information.
- Marketing Insights. Audits and Surveys . A listing of contemporary marketing articles. Most are company specific and retail oriented. Some Internet statistics, marketing information about the internet, marketing resources, journal articles and other information.
- Useful Business Research Sites. CDSI and Lieb Associates. Business research can be particularly arduous when searching for information on particular companies or searching for specific statistics. We have found several web sites helpful. These sites have effective advanced search facilities as well as access to in-depth data.
- Business Builders. Edward Lowe Foundation . "A series of 46 comprehensive self-paced training modules designed to walk you through the step-by-step procedures of marketing, managing, promoting and growing your business. Each module concentrates on one training topic or task. You'll learn how to master the areas most important to your company's growth."
- Business Resource Center. Khera Communications. This is a comprehensive site containing articles on marketing, financing, and development of business on the internet. Lots of how-to guides and help articles.
- Marketing on the Web. Dr. Ralph F. Wilson, Wilson Internet Services. "This is a comprehensive site containing articles, book reviews and links to other sites containing documents about marketing on the internet."
- Advertising and Copy Development for the Web. Utah Film and Video Corporation Concepts for Advertising on the web. What does it take to create an effective Web site? Includes a how-to guide for multimedia promotion, and a FREE HOME PAGE OUTLINING GUIDE for designing your first home page.
- On-Line Site Promotion . "Describes how to promote your site on-line using links, discussion groups, and on-line business directories. Links to business directory services."
- The Future of the Web . David Siegel, author of Creating Killer WebSites Hayden Books, 1996. This futuristic piece discusses the past, present and future of the web as a marketplace for information, exchange, and entertainment.
- MouseTracks. MouseTracks offers commentary on marketing activities and links to marketing resources on the Internet. Expect /MouseTracks/ to change frequently but irregularly.
- Academic Marketing Sites and Organziations. University of California, Berkely. "This site contains listings of Universities, Publications, Organizations, Conferences, Business Site Lists, and Discussion Groups focusing on marketing."
- Web Links by Steven E. Callihan
A detailed categorization and listing of web links related to all aspects of web design and development. Marketing topics include Putting It Up on the Web: Placing, Maintaining, Promoting, and Validating Your Web Page.
